Carlos Molina

Carlos Molina

Born in Cali, Colombia, Carlos Molina received his formal ballet training at the Instituto Colombiano de Ballet Clasico and at the Houston Ballet Academy. Before accepting a position as a principal soloist at the Harford Ballet, Molina completed an internship at the Ballet de Cali in Colombia. For years later, in 1998, he joined the corps de of the American Ballet Theater, where he became a soloist in 2001. In 2004, Molina became a principal soloist at the Boston Ballet.

Molina’s repertoire includes leading solo roles in Romeo and Juliet, Cinderella, The Nutcracker and Carmen. He has danced pieces by the choreographers George Balanchine, Val Caniparoli, John Cranko, Agnes de Mille, Nacho Duato, Jorma Elo, Jiri Kilian, James Kudelka, Asaf Messerer, Kirk Peterson, Marius Petipa, Helen Pickett, Ben Stevenson and Antony Tudor.
