Karine Seneca

The French born Karine Seneca started her ballet studies at the Rosella Hightower School in Cannes, France. At the age of 17 she became a member of  Basler Ballet under Heinz Spoerli who took her 2 years later to the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf, Germany and to Zurich Ballet as a Principal Dancer. Spoerli created many roles for her and she worked with such renowned  choreographers  as Jiri Kylian, William Forshyte and Hans van Manen. In 2004 she joined the Boston Ballet as a Soloist and was promoted to Principal Dancer in 2005. Her repertoire of leading roles includes Bianca in The Taming of the Shrew by John Crancko , Carmen in Carmen by Jorme Elo, La Sylphide by August Bournonville, In the middle somewhat elevated by William Forshyte , Falling Angels by Jiri Kylian and more . She appears also on International Ballet galas Worldwide and has danced as a guest at the Deutsche Oper Berlin.
